Happy New Year Mr. Shiino!

We miss you and wanted to check in on you. We pray that your health is strong and you are happy.

NAAM is no longer the same without your presence. Phil and I always go to the restaurant after the show that you took us to reminisce. We always ask for the same waitress, she remembered everything you ordered.

The director of the NAAM Oral History Program came to the house and did an interview on Phil. It is on their website, I will send you the link in a separate  email so you can view it.

How are your new line of guitars coming along? They were beautiful. You are such a brilliant man. Please keep us posted and send us details.

Phil and I would love to visit Japan when the time is right. Gigs in LA are not what they once were. I have conflicts with the manner in which they do business these days.

The younger generation is not as appreciative of the musicians that paved the way. It is mostly noise that they are making.

We stuck our head in the room that housed the D’Angelico guitars at NAAM this year and walked out. It apprears that they are steering towards a rock community and they would never sound as good as the originals.

I always tell Phil to treat his guitars with integrity. We were looking forward to making the UP3 model with you.

Phil is still writing a lot of new music. The right opportunity must present itself. We are no longer interested in giving away our masters. We will control all rights of his future music.

How is Mrs. Shiino, your music family and your silk business doing?

So many musicians have passed away in the last 2 months. We are taking great care of ourselves to prevent falling in line with them.

Please send me your home mailing address and home phone#. We only have the old Vestax info.

Please keep in touch and let us know what you are up to these days.

We love and miss “You”
Phil & Sonya
